End of time in No time

It's the miss call and the text message which made me realize that i am still dreaming. My vacation is almost over, i need to get back on my feet and start rolling my self to productivity. Let me see what do i need to finish by the end of my 30 days vacation???

Fix energy savers in kids room, fix the wooden railing for window curtain, a trip to Malaysia . . . , Preparing Common Exams for trainees.....,Writing down reports, projects on social needs.... . . . I think i need to extend the vacation. . . Have i got enough time in the vacation??? Well i suppose I do and i don't.

How i don't have time is if i lay around sleeping (my favorite past time) without organizing myself, time will be not enough for 25% of the work. Probably i cant even think of any of those in the nick of time left. . . .

If i prepare my self with the time schedules i think It can be done before time. . . Question is what is my mood. . . ??? To get lazy or to prepare my self to be a energized robot for next 365 days. I suppose later is the ideal solution but i am too tired come back yet . . . Maybe i need another 30 days break, without any of my personal responsibilities. . . I wonder will that happen???!!!!

I am not sure it will because as long as we live, responsibilities live with us....Its time to manage time and set goal and restart the engines or Time will fly away with the wind within no time . . . .

Restless or Relaxing the vacation

Too busy to write some words here . . . but I wonder busy with what? It’s always important to evaluate where you are and what you do. We tend to forget who we are trying to be busy with who you tend to be. It is also true the dreamers do achieve their goals by being consistent on it. Life is a journey we live in and travels on the wheels of time in the dreams in mind. Ones who are consistent on it live with the dreams. Archive their goals and manage their lives within it.

Now to understand where you are in achieving the dream is an evaluation which will help all of us identify where you stand from your goals. These are goals we kept certain to be where you need be at the end of certain time limit. If we can keep the track then we will be able to see if we are to relax or be restless for the moments you live.

Now the question is why am I relaxing or am I relaxing?

Labeling People...

It’s quite different knowing someone and understanding that person. We can know someone from the TV. What we see on TV is most of the time Drama. By watching ones drama series we cannot understand who he is inside out. But we may know a bit of his character.

Understanding in-depth of anyone would be understanding, why he does something the way he does it. The real feeling what he is going through. Joy and Happiness one feels when one does it. The fear or emptiness within the person, are things we need to identify to understand the person.

Well in general we tend to label people with what they do. We assume the person is this or that without imagining the real scenario behind. Well in our community everyone seems to be a psychoanalyst. Everyone seems to understand the other by something one has done once upon a time. Most of the times the specific something would be over heard in a conversation which might not be true.

Since I have started working in this community with my knowledge I have been labeled many times. Sometimes I am too proud and other time I may be too stiff in decision making and in front of me people like the school attendant, can advise me on how I shall perform in my job.

The funny thing is all the others know better than me of what I am. In one sense I feel grateful because I have so much of opinions which I can have a look and see the truth behind it. Thinking positive of every critic I get is what is best I was able to cope till date.

Like for the comment of “being too proud” I analyzed the phrase and why they have said it over and over again I come to a conclusion that I am too busy with my work. I don’t have time to think of what others do and can remark anyone on their behavior other than the people who works with me. Mostly these comments are made by females I thought it might be because I don’t look at them.

To over come the proud discipline of mine I only have one solution worked out. I don’t know if it works but I don’t hear the same comment repeating or I people have not started commenting on my change. The change I brought in was slow down my pace from my regular to a lower speed, and smile to everyone I see around. I thought a smile can make the change. I think still people will have more to say. Let’s see how much I can change positive as I hear more comments.

In reality that does not solve the real problem we have. The real problem is we all judge people by their covers not the content.

Why do we live ? ? ?

How many of us wonder why we are here in the wide world called earth. Well I have been thinking about this like forever. Since I have started thinking for myself. Some says that we are sent here to pray for god (creator) for the mistakes that has been happened from our mother eve (Hawwa). Well the others say just to live and die. So many variations are there. I try to figure out if there is any logic out of anywhere if I can find out why? May be this is my mission of life or this is the route that I can reach to my life’s soul purpose. I still am searching and I am sure light would be there somewhere within my life span. This is just a cry inside me, but I wonder how many does think the way I think?

When I ask the question to me, I feel that I am here with the ability within me to complete my task in this world. Since the world keeps on rotating by days and nights we see time passes away. Every book of religion in the world says to be prepared and be good to the mankind. There is a conclusion somewhere and you will return to the creator where you would be asked if you have obeyed the creator.

I am not a person who is so much into religion but I feel this is where I see a purpose which is different from most of the people. I do not know if I am exact but I feel my thinking is logical.

I see people all around with missions to live with the goals within their hands. Money richness and needs in front of them. I see people working for greed all around. I see people killing each other for materialistic reasons. I see life for humans seems to be so materialistic where they don’t see what is actually bestowed to them.

The natures balance, if anyone could stop and learn from it, I feel the presence of god everywhere. I feel the connection between all the things around. I see the people react because of ignorance. The ignorance which, we are is killing ourselves. I don’t see anyone different from the other. I feel the people do not care more than what they need at the instance. In other words people do not have the freedom to think for some reason.

I can see people setting their life’s purpose in the name of god, people, and the nature for their own benefits. The life that one lives is been sold for ones own greed and selfishness.

I am not criticizing anyone, I just writing down what I see as I see it. Where I can believe this world does not have a rhythm of protecting anyone. Is it why we are here on this earth?

The earth it self has a life. The earth it self vibrates energy. Have anyone thought about if we don’t nurture the earth and its balance we can live on it. Right we hear about CFC and ozone layer. We develop protocols to follow. We talk about humanity while we kill people within wars. We show just within injustice for our power hungry reasons. I do not see almost anyone who does things because he needs to nurture the human kind. In the name of supporting the life’s of vulnerable ones play mind game to cultivate the political agendas.

To conclude I shall say that you will live even if you do not have agendas to portray, but just to support the earth or human kind. You will flourish more and better if you are to live a simple transparent life and live in the world with a kind heart to humans and the earth.

I still need to find if that’s what I am here for, or why I am on this wild wide world called earth.

nd well .. it come s in.. well half of it.. get s inside.. da house.. nd .. am like .. u know.. damn frightened..cos i knew its after me

then i wake up..nd again fall asleep nd see s the continuation of da dream

i see am walking .. nd see two path ways ahead of me... am with Mal oo a lil kid.. ingey.. nd i see this path way .. which is straight.. .. nd few ppl is opting da path way..... nd da path way is really easy.. cos.. u just have to walk straight to go there

nd da other path way is a mountain.. i see like ascending mountain.. with so many layers... nd wen i look at da top..its dark..bt i noticed dat as da seasons.. (like summer, spring..etc)...changes..... a layer of da mountain gets cleared... nd bright ..

nd a lot of ppl is choosing this path way.....

even if it s so difficult .. to climb on lots of ppl chooses this path way.. nd i see a new born baby climbing from da very below .... which was weird.. bt nice ..

well i wanted to try out da easy path way.. nd wen i was j about to i feel dat someone is right there next to me..nd da feel was nt right..it was soo soo soo scary

Teaching or Cheating. . . ?

Since i work to develop young adults i see the ignorance in todays youth community. People needs to get away from everything. Now the story got more and more visible.

We hear that the Maldivian Teachers are on strike for raising the pay. I feel this is a start of a new stir in our small community. My question to all who are on strike is simple " is that what you need to teach your students?" If not I can say this very loud and clear "YOU ARE DEMONSTRATING EXAMPLES FOR OUR CHILDREN". If i were to take decision on the matter i will sack all the teachers on strike and let people who need to work teaching as noble profession be with it.

What do you really need? Pay? If you need money why did you choose to teach. Buy choosing the profession that you are a CHEATER NOT A TEACHER. You need to get money then go for something which pays the money. Teaching is a profession which is developed for the love of public. If any one needs to pay for your work then it is you who needs to do it. If you do not like it LEAVE the profession.


I have been pointing out who needs to be responsible for our youth who roam around the streets aimlessly. Well here we find one of the party who shall take the responsibility for them. We do not see our youth today has the basic courtesy's in life such as "Please, Excuse me, Sorry, Good morning or simply basics of Islam Assalaamu Alaikum" within their manners.

Who needs to teach these simple but very important courtesies. Well i am sure Teachers plan an important role. My son told me that his class teacher at Ghazee School came late to the class and excused him self for the delay by explaining that he needed a shave before coming to school. I wonder how many more would there be like this as ill mannered with the present teachers in the Maldives.

We all blame the government, but is there any responsibility within ourselves? I feel shame to see these ill mannered acts. I call the government and people who take decisions for these teachers don't let them ruin any more of our kids. Solve these small but important issues before increasing any salaries or doing anything for them. Or our kids may be in the wrong hands.

Habbits makes us who we are . . .

Feeling good and great for what we did is something we celebrate quite often. I wonder how many of us realize our great achievements are not only our work. There have been people around us supporting us and guiding us to reach the targets we achieve.

It’s a simple concept of integration in the nature. It needs to have some basics factor for anything to happen. A tree would not grow unless it has soil, air, water and sunlight. As well it needs birds, bees, wind, etc for pollination. It is just integration of all the important factors needed for anything to happen. It is like wise for humans too.

A child needs the guidance from the parents and people around him to be civilized. We enroll our toddlers in nursery schools. Have we wondered about the need for that nursery school? The educational foundation of the toddler with great care with child centered learning is the modern days nursery education. The Auntie in the nursery school would have to lay the basics of education with the understanding the toddlers behavior. A primary school, secondary and higher secondary schools works in the same tone.

The point I need to make here is that a youth we see todays has not been developed at the stage where they are now in one day. It might have been within one of the stages in their life which they were not properly handled or a wrong massage to their brains. I am asking you the reader of this article that who would take the responsibility in such cases? Where shall we start if we need to avoid these problems?

Importance of acknowledgment for what others do is something quite important. Even when you feel nothing it is but expression the words of gratitude is something we do not see in our communities. People might not have a million dollar to give. Its not every who does something because he wants something in return. But just as a gesture of good will. On the other hand thanking someone for nothing, we would not loose anything from ourselves.

I wonder how many among us do practice this simple philosophy.

The friend you can depend on. . .

It has been a while, I have been evaluating who and who are my real friends. Who would be there for you when you need one?

When I look all around me there is no one who can be ejected or not supportive. Therefore the mission for evaluating became really challenging. More I visualize on the topic about it more I see how I may choose to evaluate. The most challenging aspect I found was that friends who I know as close are people who have been there for a long period of time and time has evolved their behaviors and ways of life. Depending on how much they have learn from the experiences and the knowledge they gained.

Just making the long story short, my conclusions for evaluating friends are based on who I am to my friends as a simple conclusion. Where the reverse came to conclude my idea of the closest dependable friends I have. Where ones who might want my support and unity become the most dependable friends I see.

This made me think what I am capable is what I am valued for. So its on to me to be more capable to have more dependable friends in life.

When do we stop having problems? Or shall i say a point where we have nothing to worry about?

Its a tendency to find out solutions for problem which we have invented our selves. Sometimes things just happen when you do not have a solution. We feel that we are lucky on such occasions. It is very balanced and your luck is something you create, would be the right answer in such incidences.

Everything you do is the process of making a dream come true. The key of these dreams are your inner drive for your needs and wants. If you do not want anything then you will not be able to search for it. If you do not know then you cant logically want for it to happen. Its our environment and the information we receive which teaches us what we want and how we want it.

You as a human being, the smartest animal on earth you have the power to achieve the dreams when you need to. There is always a process depending on how much you want it where your brain will work on it. Its you who makes things happening to you...

Dream positive and look for opportunities to make your dreams come true. . .

Live by loving. . . How?

A good question to ask or to wonder about! I do not think I need to explain what living and loving is but still how can we live by the principle of love is something I do not see most of us discuss about.

It was a tough day when I needed a break I asked my boss can a take a leave. She appreciated the concern of taking a break. Well I was restless on the bed and started to wonder about the issues that were open and could not shut down. Then thought of the theory I learned to slowdown the heartbeat and neutralizing the thoughts. While I was in the meditation process, a common solution came as the final shut down process. Well I know its quite unusual to have a one solution to all, but I can guarantee that it is a real wonderful option to choose.

All we do in our lives while we live is mainly solving problems which arise on day to day basis. Most of the happenings are uncontrollable to us for many reasons. We cannot expect something to happen unless it happens.

When you look into thick jungles, we see animals feel things before it happens. Why do we humans do not feel it? Why cant we allow our senses to feel the threats and love that we are about to receive. One answer is that we do not care to feel it. . . We are too busy with our worldly desires.

Understanding the inner thoughts and loving yourself is an ideology which a lot of us have forgotten. The reality is that we do not consider the simple and sophisticated world we live in. We forget to take care of our selves but we keep bringing up our needs to have the secondary wants. Where we forget almost everything other than the work we attend to.

We are enslaved by the things we need. Then we complain about the difficulties without thinking of the great things we are bestowed with. The love we have from the day we were born. And the love we need to give into our souls through the nature. The love we tend to receive from the nature is within us.

It is we, who are suppose to change in order to see the change that we want for us. Love your self by behaving kind to yourself then automatically you receive the love you need from others around you.

Love to live, then you are living to love. . .

Accepting of being who we are . . .

Our daily experience is what we reflect in behavior for the future. Knowing to take experiences which are happy does make the life easier to live when progressing to our life goals. There are times we think that only negative thoughts are to be tamed, in reality it is nothing more than burdens for life.

Unhappy experiences are not easy to leave behind due to the influenced feelings occur during the occurrence. Though it is hard to forget, in order for happiness it is a must to leave negative impacts behind find out the lesson learned. Which means identify our own actions which made the experience into what it is? It is us who make our lives happy or sad or miserable.

There is nothing which happens to us if we did not participate within the happening. It is our choice to participate or not to participate. All these experiences we can gather information on what we did, which gives us the space to leave the negative aftermaths behind and focus for our success.

Focusing on our success means respecting our own senses and accepting what we did wrong and identifying what we need to make into a right. It is a choice we make for our selves to get into the reality of life. Being ahead of all means finding own mistakes and taking corrective actions for the mistakes of our lives.

If our mind can cope with bitter realities then it has the capacity to accept fruitful future which is ahead of each one of us. What we did wrong today is the key to the lock which unlocks our happiness for tomorrow. That is by understanding the reality which usually we ignore. In other words our own ignorance is the main reason for not finding true paths of our life.

All of this can be possible and easier when each one of us has a goal to achieve. A goal set ahead of us that we can focus and visualize from our minds as a dream. Dream from where we are now to where we want to be. The gap in between there will be a lot of happenings which you need to dream in and see how you wish it to be. We can set our own life goals as our sole reason to live. Where our negativity is minor and our dreams are bigger which will affect us in living the dream. Living in the real time, sailing towards the goal can get us to where we want to be at the end. It is our own faith for living which will make our life easier.

We do not need preachers or leaders to set our goals. It is us who makes our goals and planning, activating our own selves and having it.

Introduction

A customer is a person who gets some kind of a service or buys a product. This article highlights what are customers and their needs and what do they look when receiving a service, the benefits of providing excellent or high quality satisfaction to the customers who receives services.

Customer is a person who comes with a need or a want to be fulfilled. Fulfilling this specific need is called customer service. In general needs of human beings are categorized by Abraham Maslow into five different categories. They are physiological (needs of basics such as food, shelter clothing etc), security (money, general safety from threats identified), belongingness (love, being part of or caring from the people around), esteem (respect and position acquired in the community such as job) self actualization (developing something new or need to be differentiated from the general community).

Providing Excellent Services.

Identifying and catering for the specific need more than the customer expectations are called excellent customer services. When we identify what are the specific needs of a customer lets get into restaurant. The customers to a restaurant come to eat food. To the category of the customer to be served are identified by the type of food served in the restaurant.

If we look into the basics even the lowest level café can serve a very high quality customer service. It’s that how attentive staff is to the customers visiting the café. Giving attention to the customer is the process of identifying the customer needs and serves more than the customer expectations by means of attentiveness and effective communications. The most highly needed care for customer in a café or food serving outlets would be that giving the customer the massage that he is welcome and making him feel to serve the customer is important to the attending staff.

Benefits of providing excellent services

When some one is happy about something it is natural to communicate the feeling with the people who is around. This process identified professionally by Kotler. He says when you have an new customer he is just a prospect of you becoming a customer, when a customer is appropriately served he becomes a client, and when a client is happy he becomes a supporter where a supporter is given the full attention and provided the services at excellence level he becomes an advocate to the business.

In service the product is with the person who serves. Therefore the customers identify the specific people who serve them in different qualities. They look forward for the people who give them extra care. It’s like a child who identifies people who love them.

Today’s leading food chains such as McDonalds hires specialized customer care people to the serve their customers since they are the main key to sustain and develop the business. Therefore in hospitality the customers take the memories of people who served them well and do wish them a high respect and the business prospers through advocates. The clearest example is Maldives Tourism Industry started with only 200 beds in two resorts has prospered into an industry well recognized in the world as a place of beautiful and one of the most hospitable place in the world.

Life is a convertible dream

Traffic of day lights lifts in the air, where everyone seems to be busy with some work. The life of a Maldivian family seems to be hectic and heavy to lift onto their shoulders. Daily work has been a must for every laborer of workmanship, while we see kids and young adults hanging around on the streets aimlessly. It is good to wonder why responsibilities and visions was not created or implanted within them. Is it their age? With the thoughts started time travelling within my mind of thinking “What did I do when I was a young adult at the age of 16-19?”

To express the true self I was quite busy finding out what is world about. What is there for people and what kind of activities are there for us waiting when we grow old? It is like treasure hunting for me. Knocking doors unknown and identifying what is not to be seen. Why people do this and that.

I started my life as a photographer where I saw images coming out of creativity, where it never has end. When I hang around I see beautiful pictures in quite unusual places such as mud, old ruins and within the daily life. Smiles and anger, caring and love on the faces of people. It like you see everything on a different perspective than what you really see. It’s more on trail and error style in taking the pictures. When I understood lighting and how well a picture can be captured, I have got more ideas till this date I am testing more creativity in everything I see. This made me quite busy in my daily schedules. Since what ever I see, I look for more than what it is.

Second was to choose a profession I kept wondering what maybe the best option for me. I wondered to join armed forces, I wondered if a government job would be interesting or would it be vocational training in some area which is interesting. Well I stuck my mind in the last one. I thought of my physics lessons and thought it is a good idea to learn what electricity is all about. Since the ground information I have gathered out in physics lessons I thought learning to see something you don’t see at all would help me develop my carrier.

I joined vocational training center in Male’ in an electrical trade course which first two months made me think what is this all about filing a piece of metal and shaping it without any technology. It was really a frustrating start but today I am happy I did it but that was to state frankly a block on my speed of thinking at that time. Going through the syllabus the trainers are quite qualified and I felt that I need practicals where I fortunately got a part time job in a workshop which is related to the field. It is more like giving a boost to your boring life being in with the slow not interesting speed of learning. Where I felt I was quite well appreciated in the start but which made my decision for being in the field of electricity is proved to be wrong. The experience has enlightened me there are frauds, corruption and undercuts to the real labor done within the atmosphere. I felt the profession which I thought would lead me into my future is just crap nothing but rich peoples pick pocketing. Here I lost the real flame to learn and proceed in the field but to identify how to over come rich and make things right.

This was the start of my present life with a goal of making labor happy through what I feel is educating people not be as greedy as what the rich are and till date I am still searching for the light and flame it in way that it cannot be dimmed by anyone.

If you kept going on reading till now I am sure you have seen quite a picture of my ages of 16 and 17. This was the age I took the turn to fight for people who is been tortured by the rich. It was my dream to develop people who have courage to face these difficult scenarios and manage through it. Where at the time has lot of limited resources.

I will have to give credit to people who have supported me unknowingly that I was in this path and still am going on. Where I have no regrets of anything what I have done or mistakes I did as a human being. As everyone would have taken turns which ones are not happy but I am sure I am on the right path.

The entire story line I am writing here while figuring out what may be the vision of today’s children. Where are they aiming themselves and I wonder if they have set goals.

I asked one of my aunties recently what her daughter will do after the school. She said when she finishes only that would be identified. Can’t we show these children who is coming out of school a path where they can lead their lives? Or do we have something which I do not know? Or is it again we are on an agenda of the rich, not let anyone have the scope of coming up who can beat them in business or being rich? After all of that is agenda I surely assume that is what will be happening.

What I have to say LOUD is that every one has the right to convert ones own life and see the future goals. Who ever who stops it shall be insane and shall be destroyed for good for the betterment of our society. Since civilization needs creativity unlimited, where life can be convertible to what ever dream one wants it to be. Time will lead them into reality show unseen yet.

The concept of Hospitality as it relates to role within the Hotel Industry.

(This was an assignment given to customer care class by me) I wrote it personally for the purpose of explaining them the concept).

Introduction

The word hospitality strikes to me as being hospitable. In simple context it is how you treat someone. May be where I was born and where I have been raised has a culture of being hospitable to the travelers who visits us from journeys across the globe. I am talking about travelers who voyage on the sea for different reasons. The Maldives is a country which lays on an important position for seafarers.

The travelers from Arabian Peninsula, Africa and Indonesia traveling across the Indian Ocean shall meet a group of small islands in the middle of their journey. The people of these islands are very kind and helpful to who ever who visits them. The basic infrastructure of welcoming travelers and letting them have a rest in the thatched roofing small shelters are something they do for each and every traveler who visits them. The share their food, try to entertain travelers during their short stay within the rings of islands. The result of this humanitarian and well mannered hospitality resulted some of these travelers to retain in the islands for longer periods where some of them had started their lives as the simple Maldivians and were proud to be called as Maldivians. The most interesting this about all this is Maldivians are generous and kind hearted where there was a competition as such within islands to have better kindness offered to Travelers. Even present day some of the islanders say that “if you have water from our wells you will not be able to forget us”.

In general hospitality is a culture which has been practiced for centuries in the Maldives. Today we see the same hospitality as an industry in the Maldives. The Hotel industry in the Maldives started in early seventies with only two resorts on two hundred beds. The reason why Maldives has developed as one of the most admirable destinations in the world today is for the simple hospitable culture we have treasured for us by our forefathers.

The differences between service as our hospitality and Materialistic world

The art of a Maldivian Smile and the gesture from an old grand mother is the valid proof of the service we have extended. As you know a smile is something which can be expensive than the million dollars which has been acquired as materials of the world. Human gestures are a service which we have to give out as treasures today. The materialistic worlds we see are nothing that valuable compared to the way we serve our visitors.

The characters of Hospitality are so genuine where travelers in the past have written about Maldives and the kind gestures which has been extended to them which made their books write about the something of Maldives. This is a fact the inseparable character in extending services in the culture of Maldives in ancient times.

As well the consistency of development and continued mannerism created a natural service environment where the product Maldives marketing in early ages are still named by the Maldives. Yes what I am coming to is the Maldive Fish. Well accepted in south India and Srilanka. If the consistency of behavior on producing fish in a different level today we would not have a market for the fish.

Importance of extending Personal Services

The religion which Maldivians have been practicing gave the Maldives the patience to extend the services on the right moment when a customer needs it. Where services are fresh always with a smile which tender where the receiving end customer feels, “Just personalized for him” when receiving it.

The tradition of Maldives relates to giving attention to the people who visits them. If you travel a rural island and visit a home you will find the people welcomes you and try’s to extend the best facilities they have with them. Giving a soft drink for the modern times and I suppose in olden day it would be a glass of toddy or something which will make the visitor happy about. Every visitor will not leave an island without something given as a complementary gift from them either a fruit or something of use. Where visitors are made hospitable and which even today is practiced in some areas of the Maldives. This type of personal touching activities has given an edge to the people that the visitors do return to them with something from the visitor’s home land. It’s more like a give and get situation. The most interesting happening is no single person will ask the visitor to bring anything for what they did. A pure act of generosity is shown clearly in the Maldives culture.

Good and Bad Services

The manners of the Maldivians are basically in a very moral ground level. The islanders are taught how to recite Holy Quran from an Edhuruge. At the age of 9 most of the kids will know how recite on their own. The manners of Islamic culture have been cultivated in every society of the Maldives. Where people are helpful and regardless of who you see or serve attention is much squared on what they do.

It is therefore unhappiness in people is less and everyone is simply happy with what they have. Always have something more to give out to the person who you serve. One will see a smiling face always when one is making a vacation in the Maldives.

This is the reason why the Hotel industry in the is booming and making its way through the skies of the world. The Maldivians are hospitable from their age of forefathers. Hospitality in Maldivians are an inbuilt culture which no one can steal or take away from the Maldives.

When objective is what you need to achieve, in what ever we do there will be certain factors which deviates us from our objectives. Our environment and social implanted beliefs which the stakeholders carry with them are some of the factors for deviation of our personal objectives of getting along with them. But a visionary never stops visualizing what needs to be done to overcome the challenges.

When our objective remains to be educating young adults we see the target customers are not willing to accept the responsibilities which are being facilitated to them through hard ship of labor of our team. There are good enough reasons for it. When we start the evaluation from the scratch and where this belief or system for them to take responsibility is implanted its sad to quote we do not have an infrastructure applied for personal responsibilities within people. Which we shall say has to apply in a level of basics of life. It has been said that teaching and training young adults are the responsibilities of the teachers and the trainers. Where children are carefree in a way that what ever they do, they are supposed to be accepted to the community. This happens they have a belief that even when they do not take the responsibility of studies it is the duty of the government, society and the parents to get jobs or make them kings and queens. In reality they end up in ruins after few years.

Far from reality they live their lives, unknowingly disperse time where a generation or two has been lost with the time. Once upon a time people said they did not have facilities, but what happens to them when there are facilities. The imagination for reality is always a dream for them. What they want has to be fulfilled by the community one way or the other. But they need not to change a bit of their styles. What we see is a bunch of youngsters with a lot of demands, where they do not know what actually they are demanding. They do not know the reality is a harder job when it comes to live a life. Living is a condition they will see when the time of real life faces them. Then it would be too late for them change.

It is not one or two days practice which comes into life where things has gone so bad to worse. What I need to express is that it is a generations of irresponsibility is results what we se today. I am not wondering and I am not going to point finger to specific people in our community but I am sure that they know what they did to make this “I would call” disaster to happen. It surely includes parents, politicians and teachers and senior citizens and many others in the community.

Today we need to see changes for the generation who is out of control. How we can change them into responsible citizens? What are the measures which can be taken? Who needs to be aware of what is going on? What is it that we actually need for a change?

On an angle to make sure the community needs are well met what we seek and talk about is “finance”. I will say that finance is nothing but fuel to make our society worse in all the concepts. If economical boost comes in without learning to be responsible, our people will be lost and worst in every aspect. What we need today is direction. Direction towards the life goals of the people, tell them how they can set their goals in life. How can they be helped in better ways they dream today? Explain it to people that money is not everything. Money will be there when there are responsible citizen and that is how our forefathers has got the wealth. Just being imaginative responsible people in their lives who did have long term goals which have been ruined by some predators. Can we face the type of predators now with this mentality?

Is this the island we all are proud of? The island of richness! The island where economy was uncompetitive to any other island in the Maldives! The island where finance was the last concern when communicating for public needs! The island where people had fought for freedom and balance in the country! What I see today is everyone is looking into their fair share and trying to steal what ever they can from which ever the angle they could. If it is being communicated to community people say “the system is corrupted therefore we need to be corrupted or we cannot survive. You better change the system to change us“

Is it the system or the government or the people that needs to changed? The book of Allah says that the change of people will give the opportunity to change the system, when the system is changed the government will change automatically. It is on to us the people to change ourselves come out from our greed to have a better tomorrow. It is what the book of god states.

I feel empty inside when I see people walking on the street without any aim for their lives. I see people who do not bother to know what reality is. I see a public without hope. I see relatives are on dopes. Who is it that I can rely on when there are people as such, where my objectives are deviated to a lower level than my hope brought me back to where I was born.

Today we need to structure the education of our nursery schools, educate parents, change the infra-structure of education and develop life goals in youth groups. I am sure this will give an idea of what kind of a Thinadhoo we have.

I cannot let this tear drop fall since I still have hope and faith in people of Thinadhoo because we are the breed of a culture which I still am proud of.
